Since its founding in 1976, the University of Kragujevac has evolved into a contemporary hub for education and research, encompassing nearly all significant fields of study and inquiry. With 20,000 students spread across 12 faculties in 6 towns of Central Serbia, it stands as a dynamic academic institution.

With a student body of 20,000 spread across 12 faculties in 6 towns of Central Serbia, the university serves as a dynamic academic institution.

Half of its faculties are situated in Kragujevac:

  • Faculty of Economics, which offers diverse study programs in economics, business administration, and management.
  • Faculty of Medical Sciences, providing integrated studies in medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy, along with applied programs in nursing and therapy.
  • Faculty of Philology and Arts, comprising three schools: Philology, Music, and Applied Arts.
  • Faculty of Law, offering legal education across all levels of studies.
  • Faculty of Science, delivering academic courses in mathematics, chemistry, physics, informatics, biology, and ecology.
  • Faculty of Engineering, providing programs in mechanical, urban, automotive, industrial, and military-industrial engineering, as well as engineering management.

The other half of faculties are dispersed across five towns in the Šumadija and Western Serbia region:

  • Faculty of Mechanical and Civil Engineering in Kraljevo, offering education in mechanical and civil engineering.
  • Faculty of Education in Jagodina, catering to teacher and pre-school teacher education.
  • Teacher Training Faculty in Užice, providing education for teachers and pre-school teachers, along with a doctoral program in teaching methodology.
  • Faculty of Agronomy in Čačak, offering study programs in agronomy, food technology, and related fields.
  • Faculty of Technical Sciences in Čačak, providing courses in information technologies, electrical and computer engineering, mechatronics, engineering, entrepreneurial management, and related subjects.
  • Faculty of Hotel Management and Tourism in Vrnjačka Banja, situated in a renowned spa town, offering study programs in tourism and hotel management.
